There have been three things my mom has told me every single day, since I can remember, that I’ll never forget. On the top of this list, is of course, "I love you." Trailing a very close second, “be good.” (we all need a daily reminder from mom). The third, "If it’s meant to be, it will be." My mom has never gotten it wrong. This may very well be the first time that I didn’t consult her beforehand, but I can promise you, come tomorrow, those will be the first words out her mouth. My dad was set free and he came back. What can I say? I’m a sucker for romance. A sucker for a good gosh-darn love story. A sucker who is bound for disappointment. And I’m okay with that. I don’t necessarily know if this one will come back but one day someone will and that’s enough. Call my mom crazy (just not to her face, her sharp tongue will cut a bitch) but she’s been happily married for 31 years, whatyougot?
